For example, diagnostic imaging such as echocardiograms and Doppler scans can detect heart abnormalities and vascular blockages, which are often asymptomatic but increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. What to Expect:
During your imaging appointment, a skilled technician will guide you through the process, ensuring comfort and safety. Our services include EKG, echocardiograms, X-rays, and various types of ultrasounds. Based on your symptoms and the referring physician’s recommendations, we will perform specific imaging to diagnose or monitor your condition.
Conditions Treated Include:
Holter Monitoring
- A wearable device that continuously records heart activity for 24–48 hours, or longer if needed.
- Captures data on heart rhythms during daily activities, allowing for a real-world assessment.
Useful for detecting:
- Irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias)
- Silent ischemia (reduced blood flow to the heart without symptoms)
- Other intermittent cardiac issues that may not appear in a standard EKG.
- Patients wear the device while going about their regular activities.
- After the monitoring period, the data is analyzed to identify any abnormal patterns, informing the next steps for treatment or additional monitoring.
EKG (Electrocardiogram)
- A 12-lead portable EKG records the heart’s electrical activity, assessing heart rhythm and detecting any abnormalities.
Echocardiogram
- An echocardiogram uses ultrasound to create detailed images of the heart’s structure and function, helping to diagnose conditions affecting heart muscles, valves, and chambers.
X-rays:
- Skull X-ray: Evaluates the bones of the skull and facial structures.
- Chest X-ray: Assesses the lungs, heart, ribs, and thoracic spine.
- Abdominal X-ray: Examines the stomach, intestines, spleen, and other abdominal organs.
- Pelvic X-ray: Focuses on the pelvic bones, hips, and reproductive organs.
- Spine X-ray: Includes cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), and lumbar (lower back) regions.
Extremity X-rays:
- Arm X-ray: Includes the humerus, radius, and ulna.
- Leg X-ray: Includes the femur, tibia, and fibula.
Joint X-rays:
- Shoulder X-ray: Images the shoulder joint for bone fractures or dislocations.
- Elbow X-ray: Assesses elbow joint alignment, bone fractures, and arthritis.
- Wrist X-ray: Evaluates fractures and joint issues in the wrist.

- Arterial Doppler: Examines blood flow in arteries, often for blockages.
- Upper & Lower Abdomen: Scans organs in the upper and lower abdominal regions.
- Renal: Focuses on the kidneys to assess function and detect abnormalities.
- Liver: Examines the liver for diseases or conditions like fatty liver.
- Gall Bladder: Checks for gallstones or inflammation.
- Pelvic: Evaluates reproductive organs and the urinary bladder.
- Thyroid: Assesses thyroid structure for nodules or enlargement.
Doppler Scans
Doppler scans use high-frequency sound waves to evaluate blood flow through arteries and veins. This type of ultrasound provides information about blood movement and any obstructions in vessels, helping to detect conditions such as blood clots, arterial blockages, and weakened veins or arteries.
Ultrasound
- Carotid Doppler: Assesses blood flow in the carotid arteries in the neck, identifying blockages or narrowing that could increase the risk of stroke.
- Venous Doppler: Examines blood flow in the veins, particularly in the legs, to detect blood clots or deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
- Arterial Doppler: Evaluates blood flow in the arteries, commonly in the legs, to identify peripheral artery disease (PAD) and other blockages.
Doppler scans are non-invasive and essential for monitoring vascular health, especially in individuals at risk for stroke, heart disease, or circulation issues.
Sleep study
A sleep study, or polysomnography, is an overnight test that monitors and records a variety of body functions, including brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing, eye movements, and muscle activity while you sleep.
